New Montessori School Coming to Woodbridge!

WOODBRIDGE, VA – The Woods, A Montessori School, located in the River Oaks Shopping Center at the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and River Ridge Boulevard will be opening January 7, 2019 and providing authentic Montessori education for children 16 months of age through Kindergarten.

The Woods, A Montessori School is the sister school of The Springs, A Montessori School, which is in Springfield, Virginia and has been providing Montessori education to the Northern Virginia area since 1966.  Family owned and operated, The Woods will offer the same level of excellence in Montessori education and personal attention to young families in the tradition of its sister school.  It will be the first Montessori school in Prince William County that is accredited by the American Montessori Society.

“There is a real lack of options for quality, authentic Montessori education in Prince William County,” says Head of School and co-owner, Daniel Clifford. “We are elated to have the opportunity to bring Montessori education, and really the Montessori way of life, to more families.”

The Woods will open its door at 16723 River Ridge Blvd., the former site of Children of America Childcare Learning Center.  The 10,000 sq. ft. facility is currently undergoing renovations to create beautiful, state of the art Montessori learning environments.   The Woods will offer three Toddler House classrooms and four Children’s House classrooms and will serve up to 150 students.

Applications are currently being accepted for January 2019.
