At The Woods, we provide a foundation that cultivates a lifelong love of learning grounded in peace, respect, independence, and excellence.
“The first duty of an education is to stir up life, but leave it free to develop”
– Maria Montessori
“To aid life, leaving it free, however, that is the basic task of the educator.”
– Maria Montessori
“The greatest development is achieved during the first years of life, and therefore it is then that the greatest care should be taken.”
– Maria Montessori, The Absorbent Mind
🌱🌼 In keeping with our Garden Wonders theme this week, our students have been enjoying caring for the classroom gardens and making sure the plants receive plenty of water and attention. 💧🤗
In Montessori, caring for plants is an important Practical Life activity. Through simple tasks like watering, children develop responsibility, concentration, coordination, and a sense of respect for the living world around them.
Plus, it`s so rewarding to watch something grow with a little love and care! 🌿✨
What better way to kick off Summer Camp than with a visit from the fire truck? 🤩
Our students had an amazing time meeting the firefighters from the station across the street, learning about their important role in our community, and exploring the fire truck up close. There were lots of smiles, questions, and excitement all around! 🚒✨
A heartfelt thank you to our local firefighters for taking the time to visit and for the incredible service they provide every day 🤗
Counting down the days… SUMMER CAMP is almost here! ☀️🌈
We are so excited to kick off another season of fun, friendship, creativity, and adventure. Check out a few quick reminders before your camper’s first day.
We are excited to see everyone on Monday! 😎
