Accreditation

The Accreditation by the American Montessori Society is the gold standard of Montessori school excellence—the highest level of recognition your Montessori school can achieve and a highly visible indicator of your school’s quality..
“The AMS Accreditation begins with an intensive self-study by the school, involving the school’s entire community—students, staff, faculty, administration, board members, and parents. Every aspect of the school is examined and documented during the process, including governance, curriculum, fiscal and personnel policies, facilities, health and safety practices, teacher preparation, and learner outcomes. All AMS-accredited schools must comply with accreditation standards and be on a path of continuous improvement. Each accredited school submits a yearly report outlining progress toward the objectives in its strategic plan.”

COGNIA is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that accredits primary and secondary schools throughout the United States and internationally.
“Accreditation is the launchpad for school improvement. Based on rigorous research-based standards and evidence-based criteria, the process probes the whole institution—from policies to learning conditions and cultural context—to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of every learner.”
