Specials and Enrichments
All students participate in Music lessons for at least 30 minutes each week as a whole class. These experiences are designed to support their cognitive, social, and creative development in a hands-on, engaging manner.
Music
Music education in the Montessori environment nurtures self-expression, auditory discrimination, and coordination. The curriculum includes: listening and Ear Training, Rhythm Development, Singing and Conducting, Introduction to Instruments, and Dramatic Play and Performance.
ELECTIVE CLASSES
At The Woods, we offer elective classes that provide students with additional opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills.
Elective registration details will be shared during the first few weeks of school, and classes will begin in October. These classes are open to all students who wish to participate and take place in the late afternoon. However, half-day students are welcome to return for any class they join.
Participation is optional, and the elective instructors manage all fees and registration directly. At the moment, we offer soccer and multisports as elective classes, and we are looking for more options to offer in the future.
